Melodeek

Created in 2013 by Jypi and later joined by Mister C, MELODEEK has become one of the leading voices of the new‑generation kompa movement in the Haitian diaspora. Based in Paris, the duo merges their Haitian roots with zouk, ragga, hip‑hop, and Latin‑Caribbean influences, crafting a polished and contemporary sound.

Their debut album Yon Lot Jan (2015) introduced a refined, melodic kompa enriched by collaborations with Yoan, Politik Naï, Elens, and Wesley Seme. Over the years, MELODEEK has released standout singles such as Gouyad Kriminel, Veux‑tu m’épouser, Fem GaGa, and Uni‑K, while performing across France, Canada, the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean.

In 2023, the group celebrated its 10‑year anniversary with major concerts in Paris and Montreal, marking the beginning of a new creative era and teasing an upcoming album. Today, MELODEEK represents a proud, innovative diasporic generation shaping the future of kompa.
